about the team
The LSSOD competition team provides students with an intense, yet fun class regime to enhance their regular dance training. Team members will compete in 4 regional competitions each year, as well as take part in other performance opportunities. Dancers who wish to tryout and participate in the team are committing to a more vigorous and approach to dance education but the rewards in memories, teamwork, and opportunities are endless!

team requirements
To be eligible for placement on the team, students are required to take the following class requirements per regular season week:
Grades K-4:
Summer 2026: K-1 or 2-4 Dance Skills
2026-2027 Regular Season: Ballet/Tap, Jazz
Grades 5-8:
Summer 2026: 5-8 Dance Skills
2026-2027 Regular Season: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Strength & Conditioning, Hip Hop**
Grade 9 & Up:
Summer 2026: 9-12 Dance Skills
2026-2027 Regular Season: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Strength & Conditioning, Hip Hop**
**Must be enrolled in regular season hip hop if being placed in a hip hop competition routine.
